The Faculty History Project documents faculty members who have been associated with the University of Michigan since 1837. Key in this effort is to celebrate the intellectual life of the University. This Faculty History Website is intended as a component of the effort to document the extraordinary academic achievements of Michigan’s faculty in building and sustaining one of the world’s great universities. It provides access to a comprehensive database of information concerning the thousands of faculty members who have served the University of Michigan.

Yvonne Abdoo
The Michigan Record

Yvonne Abdoo, assistant professor of nursing in the School of Nursing, effective May 31. Abdoo joined the School of Nursing in 1988. Her scholarly work focused on systems research, including the delivery of high quality, efficient and cost-effective health services. The underlying theme in her research is bridging technology with the end user to enhance patient safety and unite clinical practice, research and management. Abdoo has published and consulted on systems and database design and more, has taught graduate courses, been involved in using technology for distance learning, is an advocate for implementing technology that benefits users, and has strived to incorporate the latest technology in her instruction.
