SAMUEL ESTEP, J.D.'46, returned to the Michigan faculty as an Assistant Pro fessor of law in 1948, and has been full Professor since last summer. He is also Director of the Legislative Research Cen ter, working on an annual volume entitled "Current Trends in State Legislation." He teaches three law courses — constitutional law, legislation and securities. Additionally, Professor Estep is one of the faculty mem bers of Toastmasters, which he and T. Hawley Tapping revived after World War II. He received the A.B. degree from Kansas State Teachers' College at Em poria, and then entered Michigan. How ever, his law studies were interrupted by World War II, when he served as a Navy Lieutenant, aboard destroyers in the Pa cific. For two years before joining the faculty, he practiced in Detroit. He and Mrs. Estep, a former Women's Glee Club Director, have three children.
