Instructor in Nursing (Medical-Surgical Nursing), University of Michigan School of Nursing, 1956-1957. Griffiths resigned from this position July 31, 1957.

Griffiths was first married to Charles E. Blackman in Orange County, California, in 1960, then to Robert J. Serschen, in 1969. She died at Long Lake, Grand Traverse County, Michigan in 1994 at age 60.
