Memoir
Regents Proceedings 449
Quin Adamson, Assistant Professor of Dance, has retired from active faculty status as of July 31, 1985, after 28 years at The University of Michigan.
Quin Adamson received the degree of Bachelor of Music from The University of Michigan in 1957. He joined the university's faculty the following year as an instructor in dance in the Department of Physical Education and Athletics.
Not himself a dancer, Professor Adamson's responsibilities were to provide music for dance classes, much of it of his own composition. Several of his compositions have been published. For more than twenty years, many of the public presentations of the Dance Department were graced by the music of Quin Adamson.
The Regents now gratefully recognize Quin Adamson for his dedicated service by naming him Assistant Professor Emeritus of Dance.
