At the University of Michigan, Wilson taught fundamentals of nursing. A chemistry background led her to develop expertise in renal physiology, fluids, and electrolytes. She is the author, with Sylvia Anderson Price, of the textbook “Pathophysiology: Clinical Concepts of Disease Processes,” originally published by McGraw-Hill in 1978 and now in its sixth edition.
