LAURIE E. CAMPBELL, '28ed, M.S. '33 Professor of Physical Education for
 Women, School of Education, and Profes
sor and Director in Physical Education,
 Department of Physical Education and
 Athletics, has been a member of the Uni
versity faculty since 1925. During the
 early years she coached, but her work
 for the most part has been teacher educa
tion and camping, and is currently in ele
mentary physical education. A native of
 Duxbury, Mass., she is a graduate of
 Sargent School of Physical Education, at
 Cambridge, and received the Ed. D. from 
NYU. She taught at Oregon State College
 and around San Francisco before coming 
to Ann Arbor. Dr. Campbell was honored 
in 1953 for outstanding leadership, at the 
annual convention of the National Asso
ciation for Health, Physical Education 
and Recreation. Fishing is her chief hobby,
 and she also spends any free time at her
 home in Cape Cod.
