Her research lies at the intersection of strategy and international business, exploring topics related to inter-firm collaboration, outsourcing, and the impact of international differences in economic and institutional environments on firm strategy and performance. Joanne is an Associate Editor at Management Science and serves on the editorial boards of Strategic Management Journal, Organization Science, and Strategic Organization.
