Edgar Johnston appointed Principal of the University High School and Assistant Professor of secondary Education in the school of Education, 10/1/1929.

Dr. Edgar G. Johnston, previously a full-time member of the staff of the School of Education, was transferred for the major portion of his duties to the Bureau of Co-operation with Educational Institutions, and his title changed from Associate Professor of Secondary Education and Principal of the University High School to one-third-time Associate Professor of Secondary Education in the School of Education and two-thirds-time High-School Visitor in the Bureau of Co-operation with Educational Institutions. Dr. Johnston will receive a total salary of $4,150, as at present, distributed as follows: $1,350 from the Salary budget of the School of Education, Department of Education, and $2,800 from the Salary budget of the Bureau of Co-operation with Educational Institutions, both on the University-year basis. This action requires the addition of $600 to the budget of the Bureau of Co-operation with Educational Institutions to provide the necessary funds.
