Course content included design theory, typefounding, book structures, typography, identity systems, branding, special events promotion, gaming, interface design, design history, wayfinding systems and exhibition design. Additional responsibilities included direction of graduate students, committee assignments (executive, curriculum development, undergraduate, publications, nominations, library, facilities), sponsorship of the student design organization (AIGA), and service to university, regional, and state communities. Significant recent focus was on developing a new sequence of four basic theory courses for the new undergraduate curriculum.
