In August 1961 Bonnie Lenore Beld was married to Dr. John Daniel Kutt, a graduate of the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, in Dearborn, Michigan, her home town. In November 1962, a photograph of nurse Bonnie Kutt taking care of Detroit Lions football player Terry Barr, a patient at the University of Michigan Medical Center recuperating from knee surgery, was wired to newspapers across the country by the Associated Press.
